CommSec’s James Gruber says the Nasdaq remained steady despite oil prices rising by over 4 per cent.
“The S&P 500 was up 0.2 per cent, and the Nasdaq was steady,” Mr Gruber told News24.
“That reversed earlier losses on lower bond yields in the US. That was somewhat offset by higher oil prices; they leapt by more than four per cent again.
“Copper hit two-week lows; aluminium was down to four-month lows.”
