매일 조금씩 변해가는 정원,
그리고 그 안에서 함께 살아가는 우리 가족의 이야기.
오늘도 정원노동자의 일상이 시작됩니다.

이번주에도 시간이 날 때마다 우쿨렐레를 연습했어요.
조금씩 꾸준히 연습하다 보니 이제는 제법 손에 익은 것 같고,
아들과 남편과 함께 연습하며 새로운 노래에도 도전하고 있습니다.
아직 완벽한 합주는 아니지만, 셋이 함께 맞춰가는 재미가 꽤 쏠쏠합니다. 🎶
시원해진 가을밤에는 여름이와 산책을 즐기고,
출장길에 우연히 만났던 아름다운 풍경이 자꾸 생각나 남편과 다시 그곳을 찾아가기도 했습니다.
그리고 드디어 추석 연휴. 고향에 내려가서는 먹고, 먹고, 또 먹고… 돌아오는 길에는 부모님 냉장고까지 야무지게 털어왔습니다. 😆

다행히 눈치게임에도 성공해서 고향을 오가는 길은 생각보다 수월했고,
다시 집에 돌아오니 역시나 가장 반가운 건 우리 여름이.
며칠 비운 사이에도 정원의 꽃들은 저마다의 미모를 한껏 뽐내며 저를 맞아주었습니다.
음악도 조금씩, 가을도 천천히, 정원도 여전히 제멋대로. 이번 주도 그렇게 우리의 일상을 기록했습니다. 🌿🎶

A little garden, a little music, and another week of everyday life with our family.

This week, I kept practicing the ukulele whenever I had a little free time.
With some steady practice, it feels like I’m finally getting the hang of it. I also practiced with my husband and son, and we started playing some new songs together.
We’re definitely not a perfect band yet, but figuring things out together is part of the fun. 🎶

On cool autumn evenings, I enjoyed walks with Yeoreumi, our dog.
I also went back to a beautiful place I had discovered on a business trip because I wanted to share that view with my husband.

Then came the Chuseok holiday.
We went back to my hometown and did what we do best during the holidays: eat, eat, and eat some more.
And, of course, I made sure to raid my parents’ refrigerator before coming home. 😆

Luckily, we won the holiday traffic “timing game,” so the drive there and back wasn’t nearly as bad as expected.

And when we finally returned home, Yeoreumi was there to welcome us, as always.
The flowers in the garden seemed to be waiting too, showing off their best looks after we had been away for a few days.

A little music, a little autumn, and a garden that continues to do its own thing.
That’s another week of our everyday life at Gyeol-i Goun-ga. 🌿🎶
