EP 256 조금만 더 있다가 |시골일상| 가을정원| 가드닝| 산책| 아직가을

이번 주는 가을비가 자주 내리고 기온도 뚝뚝 떨어져 꽃들이 얼어버리는 건 아닐까 노심초사했던 한 주였습니다.

다행히 추위는 아직 맛보기만 하고 왔다 갔다 하며 간을 보는 중입니다. 조금 더 가을을 즐기라고 시간을 벌어주는 것 같기도 하네요. 하지만 머지않아 본격적인 겨울이 찾아오겠지요.

여름이와 함께 걷는 산책길에서도 계절의 변화를 실감합니다. 어느새 논에는 벼가 하나도 남지 않았고, 텅 빈 논바닥은 여름이에게 최고의 놀이터가 되었습니다. 산책길이 재밌어서 그런건지 산책 시간이 다가오면 얼른 나가자고 어찌나 눈치를 주는 지요.
이번 주에도 우쿨렐레 연습은 꾸준히 이어졌습니다. 지난주부터 연습하던 노래를 드디어 연주하면서 부를 수 있게 되었어요. 역시 꾸준히 하다 보면 안 될 것 같던 일도 조금씩 되는 날이 오는 것 같습니다.

한편 아들은 중학교 마지막 시험기간이 코 앞이지만 세상 행복하고 즐겁습니다.
중3인 아들이 행복해하니 우리 부부도 덩달아 웃음이 납니다.

어느새 10월이 끝나고 11월이 시작됩니다.
겨울이 오기 전, 조금 더 남아 있는 가을을 마음껏 누려보려고요. 꽃들도, 산책길도, 우리의 일상도 조금만 더 가을에 머물렀으면 좋겠습니다.

Autumn rain has been falling frequently this week, and the temperature has dropped quite a bit. I've been keeping an anxious eye on the garden, hoping the flowers won't freeze before winter arrives.

Luckily, the cold seems to be just testing the waters for now, coming and going as if it's not quite ready to settle in. Perhaps autumn is giving us a little more time to enjoy its beautiful days.

Our walks with Yeoreumi (our dog) have become even more enjoyable. The rice fields are now completely harvested, leaving empty fields that have become her favorite playground. She seems to love our walks so much that she starts giving us those unmistakable looks when it's time to go out.

I've also kept up my daily ukulele practice. After a week of practice, I can finally play and sing a song at the same time! A little progress every day really does make a difference.

Meanwhile, our son is just around the corner from his final exams of middle school, yet he seems happier than ever. Seeing him so cheerful makes both of us smile, too.

October has come to an end, and November is here. Before winter arrives, we hope to enjoy every bit of autumn that's left.

May the flowers, our walking trails, and our everyday lives stay in autumn just a little longer.
