Watch the full mass production process of a navy nylon backpack, from press-cut fabric to final inspection, at a bag factory in Vietnam. KIM TA, located in the Giang Dien Industrial Park in Dong Nai, employs 120 workers who produce around 300 backpacks a day and nearly 8,000 a month for its own brand, BAGCHY. Layers of nylon are cut in a single press stroke, then foam-padded linings, shoulder straps and a double-zip front panel are sewn piece by piece. Every part finally comes together as the front and back panels are joined and bound into one backpack. Despite the scale of production, every seam is still guided by hand at the sewing machine.
