It Was Never The Same After He Left

Rainn Wilson shared the chaotic struggle The Office faced when Steve Carell left after seven seasons. Losing the show's primary comic engine made it extremely difficult for everyone to figure out the tone without Michael Scott. When asked if learning about Carell’s exit was a total gut punch, Wilson revealed that the cast actually saw it coming for a long time. Carell was already a massive movie star earning millions in blockbusters, so everyone expected him to leave television as soon as he could. Although the cast was prepared, continuing the hit series without its biggest star was still an uphill battle. Seeing Rainn Wilson candidly explain how the cast knew Steve Carell was leaving for movie stardom while still scrambling to find their footing is pure gold. #rainnwilson #theoffice #dwightschrute #stevecarell #michaelscott #behindthescenes #funny #viral #funnymoments #shorts #comedy #interview #latenight #celebritystories
