Airbus delivers first A320 aircraft from new Tianjin assembly line in China

Airbus on Wednesday delivered the first aircraft assembled at its second final assembly line for A320 family aircraft in Tianjin to China Eastern Airlines.

The Tianjin line has been running since 2008, assembling and handing over 800 A320s. The second line was inaugurated in October 2025.

Airbus now runs 10 final assembly lines worldwide: four in Hamburg, Germany, two in Toulouse, France, two in Mobile, US, and two in Tianjin, China.

According to Airbus' latest Global Market Forecast, China's demand for new passenger aircraft is expected to reach 8,830 units over the next two decades, accounting for more than 20 percent of the estimated global total of 42,060 units.
