Alan Rickman Made That Character What It Was

Alan Rickman shared a hilarious story about how he completely transformed his iconic role as Hans Gruber in Die Hard. During early wardrobe fittings, Rickman was being dressed in heavy tactical terrorist gear when he asked producer Joel Silver a logical question. Pointing out that Gruber had giant henchmen to do all the dirty work, Rickman pitched wearing a sharp suit instead so he could fake an American accent and pretend to be an innocent hostage. Silver initially snapped at him to wear what he was told and get out. However, when Rickman returned, the filmmakers had adopted his brilliant suggestion, handing him a revised script and fitting him for an Armani suit. Seeing Alan Rickman talk his way out of tactical gear and straight into a sleek Armani suit is pure gold. #alanrickman #diehard #hansgruber #joelsilver #behindthescenes #funny #viral #funnymoments #shorts #comedy #interview #latenight #celebritystories
